Saving Southend

Saving Southend’s Green Belt is a grassroots, non-political community group formed by local residents who believe that Southend’s precious green spaces must be protected from irresponsible development.

We are not against building homes — but we believe development must be done properly. That means protecting the Green Belt, ensuring infrastructure is in place first, and giving priority to local families, not outside investors or relocation schemes. Our goal is to raise awareness, engage with decision-makers, and give local residents a voice.

Together, we aim to protect what matters most — our environment, our services, and our community’s future.

This campaign is organised by local residents and supported by the Thorpe Bay Residents’ Association (TBRA). Key organisers include Kim Hall, Emma Wynne-Morgan, Peter Lovett and Andrew Hall.
